Mizoram Public Service Commission (Mizoram PSC) has released Advertisement No. 1 of 2026-27 for the Junior Grade of Mizoram Health Service (Combined Competitive Examination) 2026. This recruitment is for Group A (Gazetted) posts under the Health & Family Welfare Department of Mizoram. The recruitment covers two sub-cadres — General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO) and Dental Surgeons. 1 post each is reserved for PwBD candidates (blindness and low vision category) in both sub-cadres.

Who Can Apply?

For GDMO (General Duty Medical Officer) Posts:

• Qualification: MBBS Degree from a recognised university.
• Internship: You must have completed compulsory rotating internship. If not yet completed, you can still appear in the written exam — but you must finish internship before the appointment date.
• Registration: Permanent registration from the Mizoram State Medical Council is required.
• Preference: Candidates who have rendered prior rural area service will be given preference.

For Dental Surgeon Posts:

• Qualification: BDS Degree from a recognised university.
• Registration: Permanent registration from a recognised National Council or State Council is required.

Other Eligibility Requirements:

• Computer Proficiency: Required as prescribed under the Mizoram Group 'A', 'B' and 'C' Posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
• Mizo Language Proficiency: You must pass the Mizo Language Proficiency qualifying test. However, if you studied Mizo in Class X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram, you are exempted from this test.
• All documentary proof for eligibility must not be dated later than the last date of application.

Age Limit

• You must be between 21 and 35 years of age as on the last date of application (20 May 2026).
• Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST/SC candidates.
• Age Proof: HSLC/HSSLC Certificate showing your date of birth is accepted. If date of birth is not in the certificate, relevant documents from a competent authority may be accepted.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a basic pay starting at Rs. 56,100 per month (Pay Level 10 of the 7th Pay Matrix).
• You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances as per Mizoram Government rules.
• These are Group A Gazetted posts — one of the most prestigious government service grades.

• Fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.
• Payment Mode: Online (UPI payments must be done using the mobile number registered for One Time Registration).

Selection Process

The selection will be done through a Combined Competitive Examination:

1. Written Examination: A competitive written exam conducted by the Mizoram Public Service Commission. The syllabus is available for download at the official website.
2. Mizo Language Proficiency Test: A qualifying test in Mizo language (exempted if you studied Mizo in Class X or above). You must achieve the pass mark to qualify.
3. Document Verification: All original documents verified to confirm eligibility.

How to Apply

1. Go to the Mizoram PSC online portal at mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in.
2. Create a new account if you haven't already.
3. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) and wait for MPSC verification.
4. Log in and fill in the application form for the relevant sub-cadre (GDMO or Dental Surgeon).
5. Upload required documents, photo, and signature.
6. Pay the application fee online (UPI using your registered mobile number).
7. Verify that your application is actually submitted after payment — unsubmitted applications will not be considered.
8. Take a printout of the submitted application for your records.

• Provide general medical care to patients in assigned government health facilities across Mizoram
• Diagnose and treat common illnesses, injuries, and refer complex cases to specialists
• Conduct routine outpatient and inpatient duties including ward rounds and emergency response

• Participate in public health programmes, health camps, and disease surveillance activities
• Follow medical ethics, government health protocols, and departmental guidelines at all times
