Mizoram PSC JAO Recruitment 2026 — Advertisement No. 2 of 2026-2027

The Mizoram Public Service Commission has issued Advertisement No. 2 of 2026-2027 dated 22 April 2026 for ten Junior Accounts Officer posts. The exam will be held in all district headquarters of Mizoram, with centres possibly merged where candidate counts are low. Direct recruitment, open competition.

Who Can Apply?

• Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognised University in any discipline
• Computer Proficiency: As prescribed by Mizoram Group A/B/C Service Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023
• Mizo Language Proficiency: You must clear the qualifying Mizo Language test, OR be exempt because you studied Mizo as a subject in HSLC or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age reckoning date: 1 January 2026
• Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, or as notified by the Government from time to time
• HSLC / HSSLC certificates showing date of birth are accepted as age proof

Salary

• Pay scale: Pay Matrix Level 7 — Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month
• Plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance as per Mizoram Government rules
• Group B (Non-Gazetted) status with pension under the National Pension System and standard government leave/medical benefits

Selection Process

1. Group B (Non-Gazetted) General Competitive Examination conducted by Mizoram PSC at all district headquarters — written paper based on the official syllabus
2. Mizo Language Proficiency Qualifying Test — unless you are exempt
3. Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates
4. Document Verification with originals before final appointment

2. Complete your One Time Registration (OTR) — MPSC must verify the OTR before you can submit any application
3. Log in, select Advertisement No. 2 of 2026-2027 — Junior Accounts Officer (JAO), and fill in personal, education, and category details
4. Upload photograph, signature, degree certificate, age proof, and category certificates as required
5. Pay the application fee online (UPI users — use the mobile number linked to your OTR)
6. Verify that your application is actually submitted after payment — incomplete payment voids your candidature
7. Submit the final application before 4:00 PM on 05 June 2026 and download the printout

• Maintain accounts, cash books, and ledgers for the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department
• Process bills, vouchers, and reimbursement claims as per Mizoram Financial Rules
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for departmental review
• Reconcile departmental balances with treasury and bank records
• Assist senior officers in budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and audit replies
• Handle GST, TDS, and statutory deductions on departmental payments
• Maintain records of subsidies, ration card finances, and consumer affairs grants
• Support internal audit and respond to AG audit queries on time
