Mizoram PSC is hiring 41 Assistant Grade posts (Group B Non-Gazetted) through a Limited Departmental Examination (LDE). This is a departmental promotion exam — only existing UDC (Upper Division Clerk) officers with the required regular service can apply. The Mizoram Public Service Commission has issued LDE (Non-Gazetted Post) Notification No. 16 of 2026 - 2027 dated 5th May 2026 for 41 Assistant Grade posts in two departments: 1 post in the State Election Commission and 40 posts in DP&AR (SSW). This is a Limited Departmental Examination, not direct recruitment — applications are accepted only from serving UDCs in Mizoram government cadres.

Who Can Apply?

• Service Required: You must be an officer holding a post in the UDC (Upper Division Clerk) grade with 5 years of regular service rendered after appointment on a regular basis.
• Special Note: The qualifying service is reduced to 3 years for those who held UDC posts on a regular basis on the date of notification of the extant rules (Mizoram Gazette Issue No. 577, Vide No. A.12018/31/2020-PAR(GSW) dated 30.11.2021).
• This is a departmental exam — direct recruits and outside candidates are NOT eligible.
• Documents required: Confirmation Order, Joining Report or Service Book Entry showing date of joining the feeder post, and Certification by HoD or Cadre Authority.

Salary

• Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level 7 as per the 7th Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Mizoram Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection is through:

2. Document Verification: Service records and confirmation documents will be verified at every stage of the recruitment process.

Any candidate found not fulfilling the eligibility conditions on verification at any stage will be disqualified.

Application Fee

• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): No fee — fully exempted
• Other applicants: Fee as prescribed by MPSC (payable online during application)
• If paying through UPI, use only the mobile number registered in the One-Time Registration portal.
• Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.

2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if not already registered. You must register by 4:00 PM on 12 June 2026.
3. Fill in the online application form for the Assistant Grade LDE post.
4. Upload supporting documents — Confirmation Order, Joining Report or Service Book Entry, and HoD/Cadre Authority Certification.
5. Pay the application fee online (UPI must use the OTR-registered mobile number).
6. Submit the application and verify that submission is complete after payment.

• Enter and update data in government information systems and e-office software
• Coordinate with other sections and departments for inter-departmental references
• Keep the Cash Book, stock registers, and service-related records up to date
