Mizoram PSC Assistant Controller of Mines Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released Advertisement No. 6 of 2026 - 2027 dated 4 May 2026 for direct recruitment to one post of Assistant Controller of Mines. The job involves preparing mining plans, scrutinising mining leases, designing blasting operations and coordinating with central agencies like IBM, GSI and the Ministry of Mines. Mizo Language Proficiency is mandatory for all candidates, but those who studied Mizo in HSLC or above are exempt from the qualifying test.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. degree in Mining Engineering from a recognised University.
• Computer Proficiency: You must have computer proficiency as prescribed by the Mizoram Group A, B and C posts Recruitment Rules, 2023.
• Mizo Language: You must pass the qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency. Candidates who studied Mizo in Class X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram, are exempt from this test.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 35 years as on 1 January 2026
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates
• Age proof: HSLC/HSSLC certificates showing date of birth will be accepted

Salary

• Pay: Level 10 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month)
• Plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and other allowances as per Mizoram Government rules
• This is a Group A gazetted post with full government benefits

Selection Process

Selection will be done through:

1. Direct Recruitment Examination conducted by Mizoram PSC
2. Mizo Language Proficiency Test (qualifying paper, with exemptions as noted above)
3. Document Verification

How to Apply

1. Go to the MPSC online portal at mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in.
2. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) before the last date.
3. Fill in the online application form for Advertisement No. 6 of 2026 - 2027.
4. Upload required documents: HSLC and above marksheets, educational certificates, computer proficiency certificate, Mizo language proficiency certificate, age proof.
5. Pay the application fee online. Payment by UPI must use the same mobile number used for OTR.
6. Submit the application before 4:00 PM on 5 June 2026 and verify that the submission is complete after payment.

Government servants must apply through proper channel. Persons with disabilities are exempt from application fee.

• Handle mining legislation, legal matters and court cases at State and Central levels
• Coordinate with Central Government agencies such as IBM, GSI and the Ministry of Mines
• Manage environmental and forest clearance matters related to mining activities
• Provide training to quarry owners and operators on mining regulations and safety practices
