Selection Process
The Meghalaya Judicial Service Examination 2026 will be held in three stages at Shillong, Meghalaya.
- Preliminary Written Examination: Objective OMR test for 100 marks. Each question carries 2 marks, and the test duration is 2 hours.
- Final Written Examination: Subjective written exam with 4 papers for a total of 370 marks.
- Viva-Voce / Personality Test: Interview stage for 30 marks. The number called for viva will not exceed 5 times the number of vacancies.
- Document Verification: Final selection depends on proof of law degree, age, practice, category, and other required documents.
Exam note: Preliminary marks will not be carried forward to the final written test. Candidates cannot use books or bare acts in any phase of the examination process.
