The Directorate of Agriculture, Meghalaya, Shillong, has released a recruitment advertisement (MIPR No. 990) inviting eligible residents of Meghalaya to apply for 1 Technical Assistant post under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission (NFSNM). This is a contract-based role for candidates who want to build a career in the agriculture sector in the state. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's Degree in Agriculture with a specialization in the management of field crops (mandatory).
• Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers is required.
• Domicile: You should be a resident of Meghalaya.
• Preference: Candidates with experience in research and extension activities will be given preference.

Age Limit

• Your age should not be more than 45 years as on 1 April 2026.

Salary

• You will get a fixed salary of Rs. 40,000 per month.

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Screening: A Screening Committee shortlists candidates based on qualification, experience and age limit.
2. Written Exam and Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a written examination and a personal interview.
3. Result: Selected candidates are informed by email or phone, and the list is also put up on the office notice board.
