MANIT Bhopal Research Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, has released a notification for 1 Research Assistant position in the Department of Architecture and Planning. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the CMP Katni research project sponsored by Municipal Corporation, Katni. There is no written exam — selection is based on shortlisting and an interview (online or offline mode). Candidates with prior CMP project experience get preference.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: B.Arch / B.Plan with M.Plan / M.Tech in Transport Planning / Transport Engineering
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience
• Preference: Candidates with experience of working on CMP (Comprehensive Mobility Plan) projects
• Skills required: Proficiency in research report writing, data analysis, and academic communication
• Computer knowledge: Working knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD is a must

Salary

• Selected candidate will get a fellowship of Rs. 40,000 per month (consolidated)
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
• Duration of engagement: 6 months, co-terminus with the project

• Conduct field surveys and primary data collection for the Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) of Katni
• Analyse transport, land use, and mobility data using GIS and statistical tools
• Prepare maps, plans, and design layouts using AutoCAD and GIS software
• Draft technical reports, mobility studies, and project deliverables for the CMP Katni project
• Coordinate with the Principal Investigator and Municipal Corporation Katni officials
• Assist in stakeholder consultations, public meetings, and presentations
• Support academic communication, research publications and project documentation
