Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal (MANIT), under the Ministry of Education, is bringing experienced professionals into teaching and research through Professor of Practice, Visiting Professor and Adjunct Faculty engagements. Post-wise Duties

Professor of Practice

You will help develop practice-oriented courses, mentor student projects and connect students with external partners. The role also supports new programmes and centres, continuing education, outreach, entrepreneurship and stronger links between industry and MANIT.

Visiting Professor

You may teach a complete course or part of one, lead seminars and technical discussions, and develop new courses. You will also work with existing faculty on research, co-guide students and help student innovation projects connect with relevant external partners.

Adjunct Faculty

You will bring practical examples into undergraduate and postgraduate courses, prepare examination papers and assess students. The role also covers project supervision, joint research and consultancy, industry-supported institute development, mentoring and connections that support internships and career opportunities.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Appointment status: These engagements do not give you a right to a regular MANIT appointment or continued service beyond the agreed terms.
• Leave for Professor of Practice and Visiting Professor: The notice allows 8 days of casual leave and 15 days of special casual leave each year for academic or research activity outside the institute. Unused leave lapses at the end of the year.
• Institute discretion: MANIT may leave positions unfilled, select no applicant, or change, withdraw or end the recruitment process when needed.
• Conduct: Attempts to influence the recruitment through canvassing can lead to disqualification. Check the institute website for recruitment updates.
