LU Subject Expert Tourism Recruitment 2026: Overview
The University of Lucknow (LU) is holding a walk-in interview to select Subject Experts in Tourism and Hospitality Management at its Institute of Tourism Studies. The experts chosen will teach the institute's undergraduate and postgraduate tourism programmes.
This is a temporary teaching engagement paid per lecture or per hour, not a regular faculty job. It suits you if you already teach or work in tourism and hospitality and want university teaching experience in Lucknow.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Nature of engagement: purely temporary, on a lecture or hourly basis, with payment following the University's own norms.
- No claim to a regular post: The engagement does not give you any right to claim a regular appointment or any permanent position in the University later.
- Qualification: The notice only says "as per University norms". Carry your NET/SET/Ph.D. certificate if you hold one, since the document list asks for it wherever applicable.
- Travel cost: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview, so plan your travel at your own expense.
Application Submission Notes
There is no online form. Walk in on the interview day from 1:00 PM onwards at the Institute of Tourism Studies, University of Lucknow, 2nd Campus, Jankipuram, Lucknow 226031. Note that the venue is the 2nd Campus at Jankipuram.
Bring the application form filled in the University's proforma, which is attached to the notice and asks for your personal details, qualifications and experience. Carry it along with your original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents.
