Khallikote Unitary University (KUU) has released Advertisement No. 1424 dated 18 May 2026 for regular Associate Professor posts in Berhampur, Odisha. The posts cover subjects from Anthropology to Zoology, with 2 posts in each department. This is a regular university faculty recruitment, and selection will follow UGC Regulations dated 18 July 2018 and Odisha university rules.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Ph.D.: You need a Ph.D. degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline.
• Master's degree: You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the concerned/relevant/allied subject.
• Relaxation in marks: A 5% relaxation is allowed at Bachelor's and Master's level for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), differently abled candidates, and eligible Ph.D. degree holders who completed Master's before 19 September 1991, as per UGC rules.

Experience and Research Score

• Experience: You need at least 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
• Publications: You need at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Research score: You need a total research score of 75 as per UGC Regulation Appendix II, Table 2.
• Research degree period: Time spent only for acquiring M.Phil. or Ph.D. will not count as research experience, unless covered by the specific employer certificate condition mentioned in the notice.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: Candidates above 60 years are not eligible to apply.
• Age proof: Only the matriculation/SSC certificate or pass certificate from the concerned education board will be accepted for date of birth verification.

Salary

• Pay level: Associate Professor posts carry Academic Level 13A as per the 7th CPC pay structure.
• Monthly pay range: Academic Level 13A generally corresponds to Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,17,100 per month.
• Allowances: Pay and other allowances will be as approved by the Government of Odisha for university faculty.

Selection Process

KUU will first do screening and scrutiny of applications received by the due date. The shortlist for the next stage will be displayed on the university website.

2. Shortlisting: The university may restrict the number of candidates by using higher qualification, experience or other suitable criteria.
3. Written Examination / Interview: The notice says shortlisted candidates may be called for written examination/interview as decided by the university.
4. Selection Committee Assessment: The committee will judge subject knowledge, experience, skill, confidence, mentoring ability and overall suitability.
5. Document Verification: Original certificates, publications and grade cards must be produced at the time of interview.
