Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Professor posts (Option A or B):

Option A:

  • A Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade on a point-scale) in the relevant/allied subject from an Indian university or recognised foreign university
  • Plus: NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or equivalent SLET/SET; or a Ph.D degree awarded as per UGC (Minimum Standards) Regulations 2009 or 2016 (which exempts you from NET/SLET/SET)
  • Candidates who registered for Ph.D before July 11, 2009 may be exempt from NET/SLET/SET subject to 5 conditions: regular mode Ph.D, evaluated by 2 external examiners, open viva-voce conducted, 2 research papers published (at least 1 in a refereed journal), and 2 papers presented at UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-sponsored conferences

Option B:

  • A Ph.D from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 by QS, Times Higher Education (THE), or Shanghai Jiao Tong (ARWU) world rankings

For Assistant Librarian post:

  • Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science (or equivalent professional degree) with at least 55% marks
  • Consistently good academic record and knowledge of computerisation of a Library
  • Plus: NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or SLET/SET; or Ph.D in Library Science as per UGC Regulations (same exemption conditions as above)

The academic screening score is used only for shortlisting candidates. Final selection is based solely on interview performance.

Age Limit

  2. Shortlisting for Interview: Top 30 candidates for the 1st post, 20 for the 2nd, and 10 each for subsequent posts (per category) are called for interview. Screening marks carry no weightage in the interview itself.
  3. Interview: Final selection is based solely on interview performance before the Selection Committee.
  4. Document Verification: Original documents are verified at the time of interview.

Shortlisting status will be published on the university website. The Screening Committee's decision is final.
