Karnataka State Police (KSP) KSRP, KSISF & IRB Constable Recruitment 2026 - 859 Posts

The Directorate General of Police, Karnataka has released Advertisement No. 07/Recruitment-3(B)/2026-27 for 859 Constable posts reserved for local candidates under Article 371(J) Kalyana Karnataka reservation. A single written exam will be held for all three posts — Special Reserve Police Constable (KSRP), Police Constable (Karnataka State Industrial Security Force - KSISF), and Special Reserve Police Constable (Karnataka India Reserve Battalion - IRB) — followed by separate physical tests for each category. This recruitment is aimed at improving local representation from the Kalyana Karnataka districts in the state police force.

Each of the three forces has a distinct role: KSRP handles law and order, riot control and VIP security across the state; KSISF guards industrial establishments and public sector undertakings in Karnataka; and IRB is a specialized battalion used for internal security and disaster response operations. All three are permanent, pensionable government posts with the same pay scale and service benefits.
