Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Minimum qualification: You must have passed SSLC or an equivalent exam.
• Driving licence: You need a valid light motor vehicle driving licence along with a licence for heavy passenger/heavy motor vehicle driving as mentioned in the notice.
• Driving experience: You must have practical driving experience and should attach proof where available.

Salary

• Selected Drivers will get pay in the scale of Rs. 34,100 to Rs. 67,600 per month.
• The detailed scale mentioned in the notice is 34,100-800-35,700-900-39,300-1,000-43,300-1,125-47,800-1,250-52,800-1,375-58,300-1,500-64,300-1,650-67,600.
• You will also get allowances as applicable under Karnataka Government rules.

Application Fee

• SC/ST/OBC/Category-I candidates: Rs. 250
• Payment mode: UPI, net banking, debit card/payment gateway, or payment through SBI as mentioned in the notice.
• Important: The fee is non-refundable, and payment must be completed by 25 June 2026.

Selection Process

The KSLSA Driver selection will be done through driving test, shortlisting, interview, and document checking.

1. Driving Test: Drivers will be tested through the prescribed driving test process, including testing at the Police Training and Management School as mentioned in the notice.
2. Shortlisting: People who qualify will be considered according to reservation rules and shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio.
3. Interview: Shortlisted people will be called for interview. The interview carries a maximum of 10 marks, with minimum qualifying marks of 5.
4. Document Verification: You must bring original documents such as SSLC marks card, driving licence, caste certificate where applicable, and identity proof.

Probation and Posting

Selected Drivers will be on probation for 2 years, or for an extended period if required under the service rules. The notice says the appointed Driver may be posted at the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority or at any District Legal Services Authority office in Karnataka based on need.

3. Pay the required fee before 25 June 2026 through the payment method mentioned in the notification.
4. Attach copies of your Aadhaar card, SSLC marks card, driving licence, fee payment proof, and caste/income certificate if applicable.
5. Send the filled application by post or submit it in person to Member Secretary, Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, Nyaya Degula, First Floor, H. Siddaiah Road, Bengaluru - 560027.
6. Make sure the application reaches the office before 25 June 2026.
