KNSB Assistant Grade-II Recruitment 2026 — 60 Posts

The Kurmanchal Nagar Sahkari Bank Limited is a Primary Urban Co-operative Bank based in Nainital, Uttarakhand. Established in 1983, the bank operates a network of 51 branches across the state. KNSB is now hiring 60 Clerk/Cashier posts through an online written exam conducted by IBPS. Selected candidates will be placed on a 2-year probation period and can be posted at any branch in Uttarakhand.

  • You will get an annual increment of Rs. 1,386 for the first 10 years, and Rs. 1,572 after the Efficiency Bar for the next 15 years
  • Additional allowances like DA, HRA, and other benefits as per bank rules
  • Selected candidates must submit a refundable security deposit of Rs. 50,000 at the time of joining

Selection Process

  1. Online Written Exam — Conducted by IBPS with 200 questions worth 200 marks in 145 minutes. The exam covers 5 subjects: Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness (with Banking focus), Computer Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The exam will be in English only.
  2. Merit List — Based on your online exam score, IBPS will prepare a merit list. Cutoffs are applied on individual test scores and total score.
  3. Medical Examination — Shortlisted candidates must be found medically fit before final appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily cash transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and remittances at the bank counter
  • Keep accurate records of all financial transactions and maintain cash balance
  • Assist customers with account opening, passbook updating, and other banking services
  • Work on the bank's Core Banking Solution (CBS) system for processing transactions
  • Follow all banking rules, RBI guidelines, and anti-money laundering procedures
  • Manage demand drafts, pay orders, and cheque clearing processes
  • Prepare daily reports and statements as required by the branch manager
  • Assist in cross-selling bank products like fixed deposits, recurring deposits, and loan schemes
