Who Can Apply?

For Sangini (Anganwadi Worker)

• Domicile: You must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Gender: Only women candidates are eligible.
• Ward residence: You should be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
• Qualification: Minimum qualification is 10+2 and maximum qualification is graduation.
• Merit rule: Selection weightage is based on marks obtained in 10+2.

For Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper)

• Domicile: You must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Gender: Only women candidates are eligible.
• Ward residence: Selection is restricted to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
• Qualification: Minimum qualification is Matriculation (10th). If no matriculate candidate is available, candidates with at least 8th standard may be considered.
• Preference: First preference is for married women of the ward who meet the qualification criteria.

For both posts, if your name appears in the voter list with your parents, you may need an unmarried certificate from the concerned Tehsildar.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 37 years old.
• The application format asks for age as on 01 January 2026.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on academic merit and document verification. No written exam is mentioned in the notification.

1. Merit for Sangini: Marks obtained in 10+2 will be used for merit.
2. Merit for Sahayika: Marks obtained in 10th class will be used for merit.
3. Tie Rule: If two qualified applicants have the same merit, the older applicant will get preference.
4. Retiring Worker Family Benefit: Qualified applicants from the family of a retiring AWW/AWH may get additional 2 percentage points.
5. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must bring original documents and self-attested copies.

How to Apply

1. Use the prescribed application format in Annexure A of the official notice.
2. Fill the POSHAN project name, Anganwadi Centre, post applied for, ward number, personal details and education details.
3. Attach all required documents, certificates and 2 passport size photographs.
4. Attach the affidavit in the prescribed format, duly attested by a First Class Judicial Magistrate.
5. Submit the application to the concerned POSHAN Project/office as per the local notice process before the deadline.
6. Make sure your application reaches before 16 July 2026. No form will be accepted after the last date.
