Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) is recruiting Plumbers by transfer for the Kerala Water Authority. This is a restricted in-service route for staff already working in qualifying lower categories of the Authority, not a general open application for outside candidates.

The recruitment gives experienced Kerala Water Authority employees a route into the skilled Plumber cadre. It recognises both trade training and practical familiarity with the Authority's service environment. The work can involve water-supply installations, pipe systems and maintenance needs across Kerala Water Authority units.

Your existing service status matters as much as your trade certificate. You need qualifying lower-category service under the rules cited in the notification, and the details must be confirmed through the prescribed certificate from your head of office. If no eligible in-service candidate is available, the notification allows the openings to be filled from the separate direct-recruitment ranked list.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Restricted field: Only in-service personnel in the specified lower categories of Kerala Water Authority can use this by-transfer channel.
• Qualifying service: The required service must fall under the cited Kerala Water Authority rules. Your service book details and probation status must support the claim.
• Reservation position: The usual reservation provisions in Rules 14 to 17 of Part II of KS&SSR do not apply to this selection.
• Fallback arrangement: If the by-transfer field does not produce eligible candidates, appointment can be made from the direct-recruitment ranked list for Plumber.
• Ranked-list period: The list remains active for at least one year and can continue for up to three years, unless a new list takes effect after the minimum period.
• Correction of advice: Kerala PSC may cancel an advice issued by mistake within the probation period or 240 days after joining, whichever point arrives first.
• Probation: The selected employee remains subject to the probation provisions in the Kerala Water Authority special rules.
• Trade preference: National Apprenticeship Certificate holders receive preference over National Trade Certificate holders within the limits of the Government orders cited in the notification.

Application Submission Notes

The application goes through the Kerala PSC One Time Registration profile, but the crucial supporting record is the service certificate in the notification's format. Your head of office must certify the post held, service period, service category, probation status and service-book particulars.

Keep the original service certificate ready for Kerala PSC and make sure its entries agree with your profile. The form becomes provisional after submission and cannot be deleted or altered, so check your employee details and qualification claims before using the Apply Now option.

New profile holders need a recent photograph with the candidate's name and photograph date shown clearly. Keep a printout or soft copy from My Applications for future reference and add Aadhaar as profile ID proof if you have it.

If Kerala PSC later conducts a written, OMR or online test, you must submit confirmation through the profile during the announced window. Only confirmed candidates can generate admission tickets, and missing a requested document-upload period can end further consideration.
