Kerala PSC is hiring 1 Mortuary Technician Grade II in the Medical Education department. This is a Special Recruitment for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates of Kerala only. Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) Mortuary Technician Grade II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released Notification No. 059/2026 for one Mortuary Technician Grade II post under the Medical Education department. This is a Special Recruitment reserved only for Scheduled Tribe candidates who belong to Kerala State — applications from any other community will be rejected without a separate rejection notice. A ranked list will be prepared and will stay valid for at least one year and up to three years.

During the life of this list, the Commission will use it to fill this vacancy and any further ST special-recruitment vacancies reported for this post. If no ST candidate is found in the list, a fresh notification for ST vacancies will be issued. You do not need any previous experience, so this post suits freshers who have finished their MLT course. Under Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR, Government-recognised equivalent or higher qualifications are also accepted. Keep your community certificate and qualification documents ready, because you must produce the originals when the Commission asks. This is a solid chance to get a permanent Kerala government job with a stable salary and allowances.

Who Can Apply?

• Community: Only Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates of Kerala State can apply.
• Qualification 1: A pass in PDC (Pre-Degree Course) in Science from a recognised University or Board, or an equivalent qualification.
• Qualification 2: A pass in MLT (Medical Lab Technology) from a Medical College in Kerala, or an equivalent qualification.
• Higher qualifications: Qualifications recognised by the Government as equivalent or higher are also accepted, and you must show the relevant Government order when the Commission asks.
• You will need to prove your qualification, age and community with original documents at the verification stage.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 45 years old as on 1 January 2026. Only candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) can apply.
• Age Relaxation: If there are no qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit can be relaxed up to 50 years. In no case will the maximum age go above 50 years. No other age relaxation is allowed for this special recruitment.

Salary

• The pay scale for this post is Rs. 31,100 to Rs. 66,800 per month.
• You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection is based on your merit rank in the ranked list prepared by the Commission:

1. Written / OMR / Online Test (if conducted): If the Commission holds a test, you must submit a confirmation through your One Time Registration profile. Only candidates who confirm can generate and download the admission ticket in the last 15 days before the test.
2. Ranked List: A ranked list of qualified ST candidates is prepared based on merit.
3. Document Verification: You must produce original certificates for qualification, age, community and other claims when the Commission calls for them.
