Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), through the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Kumarakom, has released a notification for the post of Guest Lecturer in Forestry on a daily wage basis. The lecturer will handle Forestry classes for the B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture course at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Kumarakom. This is a temporary engagement — the appointment is purely provisional for the semester or until regular hands are appointed, whichever is earlier. Freshers and experienced candidates in Forestry with the required qualification can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Forestry from a university recognized by Kerala Agricultural University with a minimum of 55% marks.
• NET: NET qualification in the relevant subject conducted by ICAR / UGC / CSIR / AICTE or any equivalent test approved by UGC.
• If NET-qualified candidates are not available: Applicants with a Master's degree in the concerned discipline recognized by KAU will be considered.
• Desirable: Ph.D and teaching experience.

Age Limit

• Age limit as per the norms of Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC).

Salary

• Rs. 1,500 for handling a practical session of 2 hours duration.
• Rs. 1,000 for handling a theory session of 1 hour duration.
• Payment is on a daily wage basis — based on actual sessions handled.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for handling sessions.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is based on:

1. Marks Obtained in Essential Qualification: Academic performance in the qualifying examination.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email or phone from the office.
3. Document Verification: Bring all relevant original documents on the day of the interview.
