Jamnagar Municipal Corporation has released this notification to fill 4 vacant Junior Clerk cum Computer Operator Class-3 posts in its administrative cadre (Advt. No. JMC/07/2025-26). This recruitment is part of a state-wide Special Recruitment Drive for Divyang (PwBD) candidates under a Gujarat Government resolution dated 17 September 2021, which reserves 4% of municipal posts for persons with disabilities as required by the Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016. Only candidates holding a valid disability certificate and UDID card can apply — this drive is not open to general category candidates. Selection is through a competitive written exam conducted by JMC's own Staff Selection Committee.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be a graduate from a recognised university.
• Computer Knowledge: You need a government-recognised CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) pass certificate, along with basic knowledge of computer applications as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Eligibility Category: Only Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) with at least 40% disability and a valid UDID (Unique Disability Identity Card) can apply. Eligible disability types for this post include blindness, low vision, deaf/hard of hearing, locomotor disabilities, cerebral palsy, acid attack victims, autism and certain multiple disabilities.
• Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen, or a Nepal/Bhutan subject, or a Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1 January 1962, or an eligible migrant from Pakistan/Myanmar/Sri Lanka/East African countries with a Government of India eligibility certificate.
• Language: You should have working knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi and English, with command over Gujarati.

If you do not have proof of your computer knowledge at the time of applying, you can still apply — but you must submit the certificate before your appointment is confirmed, or your candidature will be cancelled.

Reservation: These 4 posts are reserved for PwBD candidates only, uniformly across General, SC, ST, SEBC and EWS categories — only your disability status decides your eligibility for this drive. Existing JMC contract employees who fall in the PwBD category can also apply.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 45 years old, calculated as on 16 August 2026 (the last date to apply).
• Age Relaxation: PwBD candidates get a maximum age relaxation of up to 10 years over the standard age limit, but your final age cannot exceed 45 years, whichever category (General, SC, ST, SEBC or EWS) you belong to.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month under Pay Level L-2 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• During the 3-year probation period, you will get a fixed consolidated pay of Rs. 26,000 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Gujarat Municipal Corporation rules once you are confirmed in service.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Competitive Written Exam: Conducted by JMC's Staff Selection Committee, constituted under the Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporation Act, 1949. The detailed syllabus and exam pattern will be published separately on JMC's website.
2. Document Verification: You must produce your original disability certificate, UDID card, CCC certificate and other supporting documents for verification.
