Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: For Primary level posts, you need B.Ed or Teacher Training. For subject posts at the secondary level (Social Science, Science, Sanskrit, English, Maths, Hindi, Music/Physical Education), you need a graduate degree in the subject plus B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institute. For +2 level posts (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Maths), you need a postgraduate degree in the subject plus B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institute.
  • Domicile: Only permanent residents of Dumka district can apply. You must attach a residency certificate issued by a competent officer of Dumka district.
  • Caste Certificate: ST/SC/EWS candidates must attach a caste certificate copy issued by a competent officer of Dumka district.
  • Preference is given to candidates from the same block where the residential school is located, and to candidates who know the local language. If suitable candidates are not available at block level, eligible candidates from the district level will be selected.

Salary

  • Selected teachers will be paid Rs. 200 per teaching period (hour), up to a maximum of 4 hours a day and 5 days a week — this works out to roughly Rs. 16,000 per month at full attendance.
  • Payment is based on your actual daily attendance and periods taught — there is no fixed monthly salary.
  • No allowances (DA, HRA, TA) are admissible for this post, and you are not entitled to any type of leave. The post is also not transferable, and no residential accommodation is provided at the school.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam or interview for this recruitment. Selection is done as follows:

  1. Merit List: Candidates are ranked based on the marks/percentage scored in their qualifying degree (B.Ed/graduate/postgraduate), as filled in the educational qualification table of the application form.
  2. Preference Order: Block-level candidates and local language speakers are considered first; if enough eligible candidates are not available at the block level, district-level candidates are picked.
  3. Document Verification: Selected candidates must produce original certificates — educational qualifications, Aadhaar, caste certificate, and residency certificate — for verification.

This is a fully temporary and alternative arrangement — the engagement is initially for 6 months, extendable to a maximum of 1 year, and ends automatically once the department appoints regular teachers to these posts. No claim for regularization will be accepted at any point.
