Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) is hiring Assistant Professor (Temporary) faculty for its Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Ranchi. The engagement supports the department through a temporary teaching appointment, with continuation linked to the university’s needs. Online registration is compulsory before the walk-in, so arriving at the venue without registering does not meet the notice’s application requirements.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The appointment starts with one semester. An extension depends on the university needing your services and finding your performance satisfactory; you should not treat continuation as automatic.
• Temporary status: This engagement has its own terms. It does not carry the accommodation, transport, leave encashment or other facilities available to regular university employees.
• Leave: You can receive 8 days of leave in a calendar year, worked out on a pro-rata basis for your period of service.
• Reserved posts: This notice identifies SC and EWS positions. You need to state the category you are applying under clearly; the general reservation clauses do not create additional openings under other categories.
• Category-name consistency: Where an OBC claim applies under the general conditions, the caste name and spelling must match the Central Government list. A variation in the certificate is not accepted.
• Migration rule: The general OBC conditions link the claim to the state, or part of the state, from which your father originally comes. Moving to another state does not change that basis.
• Travel arrangements: CUJ does not provide travel allowance, daily allowance or accommodation for attending. The interview may continue into the next day, so account for that possibility when planning your journey.
• University discretion: CUJ may change or cancel the departmental interview and revise the advertised openings at selection. It can also correct, withdraw or cancel a communication if an error is found, including after joining.
• Disputes: Any legal proceedings concerning this recruitment fall under the jurisdiction of the courts in Ranchi.
