KFD Chamarajanagar Forest Watcher Recruitment 2026: Overview

Karnataka Forest Department (KFD), Chamarajanagar Circle, is recruiting Forest Watchers in Group D through direct recruitment. The department protects and manages Karnataka's forests and wildlife, and this notice concerns its Chamarajanagar recruitment. The latest addendum revises the application arrangements because of technical issues, while keeping the remaining terms of the original notification in place.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Choose your circle carefully: You can apply to a single circle within one region, either Kalyana Karnataka or the region outside it. The official portal does not allow you to spread applications across several circles. Think through your circle choice before completing the form.
• One registration: The recruitment portal allows each person to register once. If you have already registered, use that registration for your application. Losing access to the registration message does not mean that you should create another account.
• Local forest community reservation: The official FAQ identifies Chamarajanagar among the circles with posts reserved for specified Local Forest Dwelling Tribes, called ST (LFDT). This reservation is linked to the relevant wildlife division and the taluks within its jurisdiction; it is not a general reservation available to every applicant who selects the circle.
• Wildlife units: For this reservation, the FAQ names BRT Tiger Reserve at Chamarajanagara, MM Hill Wildlife Division at Kollegala, Bandipura Tiger Reserve and Cauvery Wildlife Division at Kanakapura. Check which unit your claim relates to before choosing it in the application.
• Project displacement: The portal FAQ includes Bandipur Tiger Reserve Division among the units where the project displaced person quota applies. This is a separate reservation claim and should not be confused with the local forest community category.
• Changes before signing: The portal FAQ permits changes to your circle, region and gender before you e-sign. It also describes a one-time date-of-birth correction facility. The FAQ says these details cannot be changed after e-signing; the later addendum separately announces a correction window.
• Payment status: If payment succeeds but the portal still shows it as processing, the FAQ asks you to wait until the following day. Do not pay again unless the transaction is marked failed or the amount has been returned.

• Addendum II, issued with the letter dated 5 September 2026: The circle revised the application and fee-payment schedule because of technical issues and provided a separate opportunity to correct applications. The original recruitment conditions otherwise continue to apply.
