Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Security Chief Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Western Region Pipelines (IOCL WRPL) has released an Expression of Interest (EOI) to engage a retired Police Officer as Security Chief at its Jodhpur pipeline operations. WRPL manages a large network of cross-country pipelines across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, and the Security Chief will monitor and supervise the security situation along the pipeline route in this region. Preference will be given to candidates who have a legal background or prior experience in intelligence, crime control, investigation, the petroleum sector, or the pipeline industry. The initial contract will be for one year, extendable in spells of one year up to a maximum of three years, depending on requirement and performance.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have retired from Police service in the rank of DySP to DIG or an equivalent rank in the Central or State Government Police.
• Service Record: You need a clean service record and a high level of physical fitness.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in intelligence, crime control, investigation, the petroleum sector, or the pipeline industry is preferred, along with a legal background.

Age Limit

• You should be below 62 years of age as on the date of hiring or issuance of the letter of engagement.
• This age condition may be relaxed for re-engagement cases, based on your health, expertise and past performance.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated lump-sum pay of Rs. 60,000 per month as Security Chief.
• An annual increment of about 3% may be given based on your performance.
• You will also get a vehicle for pipeline patrolling, a mobile facility, and TA/DA for outstation visits as per the rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

IOCL will select the Security Chief through the following process:

1. Application Screening: IOCL WRPL will screen the applications it receives by post.
2. Personal Interaction/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will likely be interviewed on 20 August 2026.

• Monitor and conduct surveillance of the pipeline Right of Way (ROW) to prevent theft and pilferage
• Coordinate with local police on matters under the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (PMP) Act
• Train and share security experience with pipeline security personnel
• Track the daily security situation and prepare daily reports
• Help IOCL officials file FIRs and liaise with lawyers on security-related cases
• Follow up on pilferage, encroachment, and related FIR cases
• Assist in removing encroachments along the pipeline right of way
• Investigate pilferage attempts and submit written remedial reports
