IIT Ropar Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) is hiring Project Associate-I staff for a sponsored research project titled "Transforming Mobility with a futuristic approach (Mobility-X)" (project no. 23(2)/2025-ESDA). The work sits in the Electrical Engineering Department under Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Associate Professor, who is the principal investigator.

This is a purely temporary project position, not a regular institute post. It suits engineering or science graduates and postgraduates in Electrical, Electronics and Communication or Computer Science who want hands-on research experience in next-generation transport technology. Graduates with a bachelor's degree and those with a master's degree can both apply.

The project leans towards RF and microwave engineering, so the notice lists RFID technology, intelligent transport systems, communication engineering and application development as desirable skills. Familiarity with simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS and CST will help your application stand out.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
• GATE or national test: You need a valid GATE score or a pass in another national eligibility or national-level exam run by a central government institution. Candidates without GATE may still be considered, but at a lower pay as per institute rules.
