Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) is engaging a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering for research on biocompatible metal alloys for drug-delivery and neurological applications. The work sits at the intersection of materials engineering, biomaterials, pharmaceutical science and biomedical testing. Prof. Vidit Gaur will mentor the project, which is designed for a researcher ready to move from doctoral work into independent, publication-led development.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Temporary status: The postdoctoral fellowship is purely temporary and does not create a regular appointment at IIT Roorkee.
• Tenure: The full-time engagement is stated for one year and eight months.
• Institute status: Postdoctoral Fellows are registered as students and may use the library, computer centre and available hospital facilities under institute rules.
• Leave: The notice allows 2.5 days of leave for each completed calendar month, with no carry-forward beyond the calendar year.
• Research record: Only papers where the applicant is first author will be considered for screening against the publication requirement.
• Joining: The selected fellow is expected to report after the offer is released without a prolonged joining delay.
