IIT Gandhinagar Program Manager Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) is hiring a Program Manager through its Research and Development Office for NEEV, the institute's community outreach programme. NEEV works with under-served grassroots communities through skill development, entrepreneurship, livelihood and education projects. The post reports to Prof. Hari Sai Ganesh, faculty in-charge of NEEV.

This is a leadership role, not a research post. You will run NEEV's existing verticals, bring in new funding and grow the programme with fresh projects, so the job mixes fundraising, budgeting, planning, reporting and team management with outreach to government agencies and donors. The appointment runs until 31 December 2027, with renewal tied to your performance and the availability of funds.

The eligibility follows IIT Gandhinagar institute norms and is open to a wide mix of backgrounds — a Ph.D., a master's or professional degree (M.Tech, MBA, CA, LLM and similar), or a bachelor's degree, with more years of experience needed the lower the degree. That experience can come from teaching, research, industry, design, IT or administration. Strong project management skills and fluent English and Hindi are desirable, and Gujarati or an NGO background is a plus.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of engagement: A project-funded position until 31 December 2027, renewable only on performance and fund availability.
• Academic marks: You need at least 60% (or equivalent grade) from graduation onwards and 55% in Class 10 and Class 12.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a call. The institute may apply a higher cut-off and can choose not to fill the position in this round.
• Interview mode: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed online.
