IIT BHU Project Technical Support-III Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi has issued a project advertisement for Project Technical Support (III) under an Indian Council of Medical Research funded project. The project title is Developing PolQ-Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras (PROTAC) for treatment of head-neck cancers by inhibiting microhomology mediated end joining DNA repair pathway. This is a purely temporary, project co-terminus role sanctioned for up to 3 years.

The selected person will work with Dr. Rajnish Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology, IIT BHU. The initial appointment is for 1 year, and it can be renewed up to the project period based on performance and project need. Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Option 1: First class in M.Pharm, M.S. (Pharm), M.Tech (Pharm) or M.Tech in Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
• Option 2: Second class in M.Pharm, M.S. (Pharm), M.Tech (Pharm) or M.Tech in Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry with 1 year research experience.
• Recognised institution: The qualification must be from a recognised board, university or institute.

Desirable Qualification

• Exam qualification: GATE, GPAT, CSIR-UGC-NET, lectureship or an equivalent exam will be preferred.
• Research skills: Experience in drug design, NCE synthesis and strong organic synthesis background will be preferred.
• Category preference: If all other factors are equal, SC/ST applicants will be preferred as per Government of India rules.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years.
• Age relaxation: Relaxation is available as per Government of India rules.

Stipend

• Monthly stipend: Rs. 28,000 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
