Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) is recruiting an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow (IPDF) for its Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The fellowship connects materials research with electronic devices, with research areas spanning density functional theory, tight-binding theory, condensed matter physics, quantum mechanics, semiconductor devices, quantum transport and electronic device simulation. This is a short-term fellowship based at the institute, with research and departmental teaching support forming part of the engagement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The fellowship begins with six months. An extension depends on the department's needs and your performance, so you should not treat a longer stay as guaranteed.
• Pending doctoral award: If you join after submitting your thesis, you must provide the provisional certificate or degree within six months of appointment. Otherwise, the appointment may be cancelled, or the institute may consult the authority handling your thesis before deciding.
• Accommodation: The institute will not provide accommodation for this fellowship. You will need to make your own living arrangements during the engagement.
• Leave and outpatient care: Your leave and outpatient medical access follow the provisions that apply to postgraduate students under the institute's PG Manual.
• Medical cover: You must keep personal medical insurance valid throughout the fellowship. Medical reimbursement is not available under this appointment.
• Communication: The institute will not respond to interim enquiries or correspondence about the recruitment.
