IIMSFIE, a Section 8 company of IIM Shillong, has released a notification to hire 3 candidates for a one-year project on Individual and Community Enterprises in Meghalaya, implemented under the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS) for the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD). Fresh postgraduates can also apply for the Field Investigator posts if they are willing to do fieldwork. The engagement is purely contractual and ends with the project.

Who Can Apply?

For Project Coordinator (Rs. 45,000/month):

  • You need a Master's Degree in Management, Rural Development, or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in enterprise promotion, startup incubation, livelihood programmes, entrepreneurship development, or rural development projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local Meghalaya languages is an added advantage.

For Field Investigator (Rs. 34,000/month):

  • You need a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management, Rural Development, Social Sciences, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • Experience in community-based development work, surveys, or field research is preferred.
  • Fresh postgraduates with demonstrated capability and willingness for fieldwork can also apply.

Salary

  • Project Coordinator: Consolidated salary of Rs. 45,000 per month.
  • Field Investigator: Consolidated salary of Rs. 34,000 per month each.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

  • Prepare progress reports and monitor project activities
  • Coordinate with government departments and other project stakeholders
  • Support enterprise promotion and entrepreneurship development activities

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree (Field Investigator) / Master's Degree (Project Coordinator) in Management, Rural Development, or Social Sciences

Preferred Qualification

Master's degree preferred for Field Investigator; knowledge of local Meghalaya languages preferred for Project Coordinator
