Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), one of India's most prestigious business schools and consistently ranked among the top management institutes in Asia, is looking for Research Assistants to join its Centre for Digital Transformation. The CDT focuses on research into key issues around digital technologies and their impact on organizations and society. This role is ideal if you are planning to pursue a PhD later -- you will work directly with faculty members on cutting-edge research projects involving data science, NLP, simulations, and econometrics. Applicants holding a PhD will be considered for the Research Associate position instead.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You should preferably hold a postgraduate (Master's) degree in Information Systems, Management, Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred Disciplines: Candidates with degrees in management, information systems, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or social and economic disciplines are preferred.
• Technical Skills: You must be proficient in Python and R. You should be comfortable building large datasets and performing data analysis and visualization.
• NLP & Text Analytics: Candidates with experience in natural language processing and text analytics will be preferred.
• Econometrics: You should be well-versed in secondary data analysis. Proficiency in running econometrics and statistics models is preferred. Prior experience with panel datasets and knowledge of Stata is desirable.
• Simulations: Candidates with expertise in running simulations in the organizational domain will be preferred.
• Research Aptitude: You should understand the scientific process, including the ability to do literature reviews by reading and summarizing research papers.
• PhD Aspirants: If you are keen to pursue a PhD later, this position will give you excellent research experience and exposure at a top institute.

Salary

• Compensation will be commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
• The exact salary depends on the candidate's profile and the prevailing Institute policy.
• IIMA provides access to the Vikram Sarabhai Library and computer centre for all research staff.

Selection Process

2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the faculty members. The interview may assess your technical skills in Python, R, data analysis, and your overall research aptitude.
