The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) is looking for a motivated Academic Assistant to run its Research Seminar Series (RSS) Office at the Lucknow campus. In this role you will support academic research seminars, work closely with distinguished faculty, and build a strong network with researchers, policy-makers, and industry professionals. This is a full-time contractual position, initially for one year and extendable by one more year based on your performance and the institute's needs. It is a good launchpad if you enjoy academic coordination and event management at one of India's top business schools.

The Research Seminar Series brings leading academics and experts to campus, so you get strong exposure to the research ecosystem and learn how high-quality academic events are planned and run. Essential Qualification

• Post Graduate degree or MBA from a reputed institute or university, done in regular mode, with a minimum of 60% marks.

Skills That Help You Stand Out

• Strong written and spoken communication in Hindi and English.
• Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital communication tools.
• Prior experience in event management, academic administration, or coordination.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to deadlines.

Age Limit

• Your age must not be more than 35 years as on 1 July 2026.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 40,000.
• You will also get HRA as per the institute's rules.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is based on shortlisting and an interview.

1. Shortlisting: IIM Lucknow shortlists candidates and may set higher cut-offs or extra criteria.
2. Personal Interview: Only shortlisted candidates are called for an interview (online or offline). You will get the interview details by email. No TA/DA is paid for attending.

Important Dates

• Manage and coordinate all operations of the Research Seminar Series Office.
• Plan and handle the logistics for research seminars.
• Liaise with internal teams (admin, finance, IT) and outside speakers and institutions.
• Maintain seminar records and reports.
• Coordinate with CCMR to manage the digital presence of the seminars.
• Assist the Chairperson of the Research Seminar Series with scheduling and planning.
• Keep communication smooth with seminar participants, faculty, and guests.
