Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow), located at Prabandh Nagar on IIM Road, Lucknow, has released a notification to hire one Academic Assistant for its Finance & Accounting Area on a contractual basis. IIM Lucknow is one of the premier management institutes in the country, and this role gives you a chance to work closely with its faculty and academic ecosystem. The selected candidate will assist area faculty members with academic material preparation, computer data entry support, and compiling academic evaluations for different courses run by the Finance & Accounting Area. Candidates with research, project or teaching experience at IIMs/IITs or institutes of national importance will be preferred over those without such exposure. This is a good short-term opportunity for commerce and finance postgraduates who want academic exposure at a premier management institute before moving on to further studies, research, or a corporate career.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Post Graduate degree — M.Com, or M.B.A. with specialization in Finance, or B.Com with an M.B.A., or CA, or CWA — from a recognised institute/university in regular mode
• Minimum Marks: You need at least 60% marks in your qualifying degree
• Preferred Experience: Relevant research, project or teaching experience in IIMs/IITs or institutes of national importance is preferred, though not mandatory to apply

Since this is a support role for the Finance & Accounting Area, a strong foundation in finance and accounting concepts along with comfort working with academic data, spreadsheets and course materials will help you perform well if selected. Candidates who have recently completed their postgraduate studies and are looking to build an academic or research profile before pursuing further studies such as a PhD or FPM will find this role particularly useful.

Age Limit

• You should be less than 38 years old as on 31 July 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a fellowship of Rs. 40,000 per month, plus HRA as per norms.
• The final fellowship amount depends on your qualification and relevant experience — candidates with stronger research/teaching backgrounds may be placed higher within the offered range.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

1. Application Screening: Only candidates who meet the criteria will be shortlisted for interview; incomplete or ineligible applications will be rejected without intimation to the candidate.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in August 2026 — only selected candidates will be informed of the exact date and time of the interview.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, and any form of canvassing will be taken seriously and can lead to rejection of your candidature.
