IIM Lucknow Academic Assistant (ABM Area) Recruitment 2026

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) has invited applications for one Academic Assistant post in its Agri-Business Management (ABM) Area. In this role you will support faculty members with teaching and academic work. There is no written exam — selection is based on an interview, and the job is expected to start in July 2026. Candidates with the right degree and 2-3 years of experience can apply by email.

What You Will Do

As an Academic Assistant in the ABM Area, you will work closely with faculty members and help run academic programmes smoothly. Your main tasks will include:

• Helping prepare course material like lecture notes, presentations, assignments, and case studies.
• Supporting the review and grading of student assignments, projects, and exams.
• Assisting the Area Chairperson in coordinating day-to-day academic activities.
• Working together with faculty to deliver and manage academic programmes.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a post-graduate degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Resource Economics, Agri-Business Management, or Food and Agri-Business Management from a recognised institute or university.
• Marks: You need at least 60% marks in your post-graduation, completed in regular (full-time) mode.
• Experience: You should have 2 to 3 years of research, project, or teaching experience. Candidates who have worked at an IIM or an Institute of National Importance will be preferred.
• Computer Skills: You must know how to use MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary

• You will get a fixed (consolidated) monthly fellowship of Rs. 40,000.
• You will also get HRA (House Rent Allowance) as per IIM Lucknow rules.

Job Type and Duration

• This is a purely temporary and contractual position.
• The first contract will be for 6 months.
• It can be extended based on your performance and the institute's need.
• The job is expected to start in July 2026.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this post. Selection is done in the following way:

1. Shortlisting: The institute will check all applications and shortlist candidates based on qualification and experience.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. You will be informed about the date, time, and venue by email.

You will have to attend the interview at your own cost. No TA or DA will be paid.
