ICAR-CRRI Young Professional-II Recruitment 2026: Overview

ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (ICAR-CRRI), Cuttack is filling one Young Professional-II (YP-II) post through a walk-in interview. The post sits under the project "Monitoring of Pesticide Residues at National Level (MPRNL)" (project code EAP-482), a national programme that tracks pesticide traces in farm produce. Your main job will be pesticide residue analysis in the institute's lab, so the post suits you if you have a science master's and want hands-on work with chromatography instruments.

This is a project-based, contractual engagement, not a regular ICAR post. The work runs only until 31 March 2027 or until the project ends, whichever comes first. There is no online form — you simply turn up at the institute in Cuttack on the interview day with your documents.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Purely temporary: The post ends automatically when the project closes or the offer period runs out, and you get no right to absorption in ICAR-CRRI or ICAR.
• Place of posting: You will work at ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack in Odisha.
• Screening test: If a large number of candidates turn up, the institute may hold a screening test first to shortlist people for the interview.
• Preference: All eligible candidates are considered equally, but those with work experience in an ICAR institute may get preference.
• NOC for working candidates and students: If you are employed or studying anywhere right now, bring a No Objection Certificate from your employer or institution to the interview.
• No travel allowance: No TA or DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Director's discretion: The Director can increase or reduce the number of posts or cancel the process, and that decision is final.
