Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Avionics Division Hyderabad is hiring 132 Apprentices under the One Year Apprenticeship Training Program for the year FY2026-27. The program is open to Diploma (Technician), Engineering Graduates, and General Stream Graduates. Selection is purely walk-in based, with no written test or interview — merit is based only on your CGPA / percentage of marks. The walk-in is scheduled from 2 to 5 June 2026 at Utsav Sadan Auditorium, Balanagar, Hyderabad.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has released advertisement No. HAL/HD/TRG/2026-27/NATS/01 dated 11 May 2026 inviting applications for engagement of 132 Apprentices at its Avionics Division, Hyderabad. The program is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 and runs for one year. Selection is based only on academic merit (CGPA or percentage) — there is no written test, no interview, and no application fee. Who Can Apply?

For Technician (Diploma) Apprentices

  • Qualification: Diploma in Engineering / Technology in the relevant discipline from a State Board of Technical Education
  • Gap: The gap between the date of joining apprenticeship and the date of passing the qualification should not be more than 5 years

For General Stream Graduate Apprentices

  • Qualification: Successfully completed Degree (B.Com / B.Sc Electronics / B.Sc Chemistry / B.Sc Computers / B.Sc Nursing) from a recognized university
  • Gap: Not more than 5 years between date of joining and date of passing

For Engineering Graduate Apprentices

  • Qualification: Degree in Engineering / Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognized university
  • Gap: Not more than 5 years between date of joining and date of passing

Candidates who have already undergone Apprenticeship Training or are currently registered as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 in the same qualification are NOT eligible. OBC candidates must produce a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate.

Stipend

  • Stipend is paid monthly as per the Apprentices Act 1961 and subsequent amendments
  • For Diploma (Technician) Apprentices: as per Apprentices Act rates
  • For Graduate / Engineering Graduate Apprentices: as per Apprentices Act rates

Selection Process (No Written Exam, No Interview)

Selection is fully merit-based:

  2. Merit-based Shortlisting: Selection is based only on CGPA / percentage of marks secured in Diploma / Engineering Degree / Graduation
  3. Provisional Merit List: Hosted on www.hal-india.co.in on 30 June 2026
  4. Confirmation: Shortlisted candidates receive confirmation emails
  5. Joining: Selected candidates report on the date of joining

Responsibilities

  • Undergo one-year on-the-job training in the assigned discipline at the HAL Avionics Division, Hyderabad
  • Learn hands-on skills in aircraft avionics manufacturing, testing, or supporting functions as per the discipline
  • Follow the training schedule and curriculum laid down under the Apprentices Act 1961
  • Attend training sessions, classroom learning, and shop floor exposure regularly
  • Maintain a daily diary or log book of training activities as required by HAL
  • Adhere to HAL discipline, safety, and confidentiality norms applicable to a Defence PSU
  • Complete all assessments and submit project reports as part of the training

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Diploma in Engineering / Technology (for Technician Apprentices); B.Com / B.Sc Electronics / Chemistry / Computers / Nursing (for General Graduate Apprentices); B.E. / B.Tech in relevant discipline (for Engineering Graduate Apprentices)

Required Skills

Subject knowledge of the relevant discipline (ECE / EEE / Mechanical / Civil / CSE / Aeronautical / Commerce / Science streams)
