Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Degree: You must have a Bachelor's degree in Science from a recognised university or institution.
• Technical course: You must have passed the X-Ray Technician course conducted by a Government Institute or a Medical College recognised by the National Medical Council.
• Computer knowledge: You need basic computer knowledge as required under Gujarat Civil Services Classification rules.
• Language: You need adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Reservation Conditions

• Gujarat reservation: SC, ST, SEBC and EWS reservation benefits are for original Gujarat candidates as per rules.

Salary

• For the first five years, selected candidates will get fixed pay of Rs. 40,800 per month.
• After five years of satisfactory service, candidates can move to regular pay scale of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 under Pay Level-6, subject to Gujarat Government rules.
• Other benefits will apply as per the relevant Gujarat Government fixed-pay and service rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be through a competitive examination conducted for this direct recruitment.

1. Competitive Exam: The syllabus has Part A for general subjects and Part B for X-Ray Technician technical subjects.
2. Merit List: Selection list preparation will be based on marks or normalised marks as per GSSSB rules.

Exam structure is published separately by GSSSB and includes 210 total marks across Part A and Part B.

Part A checks reasoning, data interpretation, quantitative aptitude, Indian Constitution, current affairs and Gujarati-English comprehension. Part B focuses on radiophysics, digital radiography, radiographic quality, radiation protection, dark room work, newer imaging modalities and general radiography topics.
