GSSSB is hiring 19 Radiotherapy Technician, Class-3 posts under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Gujarat. GSSSB Radiotherapy Technician Recruitment 2026 - 19 Posts

Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has issued Advertisement No. 426/2026-27 for direct recruitment of Radiotherapy Technician, Class-3 posts. The recruitment is for the Directorate of Medical Education and Research under the Health and Family Welfare Department. Selection will be through a competitive MCQ exam in CBRT/OMR mode, so you should prepare both general ability and radiotherapy subject topics.

The post is suitable for candidates trained in radiotherapy, radiation therapy technology, oncology support, and radiation safety. The notice also requires basic computer knowledge and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification Route 1: HSC Science + Radiotherapy Course

• Education: You must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board.
• Technical Training: You must have passed a 2-year Radiotherapy / Radiation Therapy Technologist course or equivalent course from a recognised Board, University or Institute.
• In-field Training: You need 2 years in-field training in radiotherapy approved by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), Mumbai.

Qualification Route 2: B.Sc Medical Radiotherapy Technology

• Degree: You must have a Bachelor's degree in Science in Medical Radiotherapy Technology from a recognised University or Institution.
• In-field Training: You need 1 year in-field training in radiotherapy approved by AERB, Mumbai.

Other Requirements

• Computer Knowledge: You must have basic knowledge of computer application as per Gujarat Civil Services rules.
• Language: You must have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Citizenship: You must meet the nationality rules under Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment rules.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old and not more than 36 years old as on 29 June 2026.
• Women candidates in General category: 5 years relaxation, subject to maximum 40 years.
• Reserved category male candidates: 5 years relaxation, subject to maximum 40 years.
• Reserved category women candidates: 10 years relaxation, subject to maximum 45 years.
• PwD candidates: Relaxation is available as per category, subject to the maximum age limits mentioned in the notice.
• Ex-servicemen: Service period plus 3 years relaxation is allowed as per rules.

Salary

• For the first five years, selected candidates will get fixed pay of Rs. 26,000 per month.
• After satisfactory service, candidates become eligible for regular Level-4 pay scale of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.
• Other benefits will apply as per Gujarat Government rules and the conditions mentioned in the Finance Department resolutions.

• Unreserved category: Rs. 500
• Women candidates of all categories, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD and Ex-servicemen: Rs. 400
• Payment mode: Online only through debit card, internet banking, UPI or wallet on OJAS.
• Last date for fee payment: 01 July 2026 by 23:59 hours.
• The fee is refundable only to candidates who appear for the examination.

Selection Process

GSSSB will select candidates through a competitive MCQ examination. The exam will be held in CBRT or OMR mode and will have Part-A and Part-B in one paper.

1. Competitive MCQ Exam: Part-A has 90 questions for 90 marks and Part-B has 120 questions for 120 marks, making a total of 210 questions.
2. Negative Marking: For every wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.
3. Answer Key and Result: GSSSB will publish a provisional answer key and then a final answer key after considering objections.
4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates matching the online application details.
5. Final Selection: Appointment will depend on exam performance, document verification, vacancy rules, and Government conditions.
