Selection Process

The GPSC Research Officer selection has preliminary tests and interview. You must remain present at each stage of recruitment, otherwise your candidature can be cancelled.

1. Preliminary Test - General Studies: This paper is for 100 marks and has a duration of 60 minutes. The tentative date is 26 July 2026.
2. Preliminary Test - Concerned Subject: This paper is for 200 marks and has a duration of 120 minutes. The tentative date is 29 September 2026.
3. Minimum Marks Rule: If you score less than 15% in the preliminary test, you will not be considered for interview.
4. Interview Shortlisting: For 4 or more posts, GPSC calls candidates up to three times the number of posts or 20 candidates, whichever is higher, as per category norms.
5. Document Verification: You need to upload and produce certificates when GPSC asks for them after the preliminary result.
