Gujarat Public Service Commission ICT Officer Recruitment 2026 - 9 Posts

Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has released Advertisement No. 36/2026-27 for ICT Officer, Class-II posts under 9 municipal corporations. The selected candidates will work for the respective municipal corporation, not as Gujarat Government employees. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Engineering route: You need a B.E. or B.Tech in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, or Information and Communication Technology.
• PG route: You can also apply with MCA or M.Sc IT from a recognised university or institution.
• Computer knowledge: You must have basic computer application knowledge as required under Gujarat Civil Services rules.
• Language: You need adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.

No experience requirement is listed in the eligibility table. That makes the qualification and exam preparation the main filters for most applicants.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 37 years as on the last date of online application, which is 19 June 2026.
• Women candidates: 5 years relaxation, with maximum age up to 45 years.
• PwD candidates: 10 years relaxation, with maximum age up to 45 years.
• Municipal corporation employees: The upper age limit does not apply if you are already serving in any Gujarat municipal corporation on regular pay scale and have worked continuously for at least 6 months.

Salary

• Pay Matrix Level 09: Rs. 53,100 to Rs. 1,67,800 per month.
• Allowances will be given as per the rules applicable to the respective municipal corporation.

Application Fee

• General / Unreserved candidates: Rs. 100 plus postal charges or online service charges.
• Reserved category candidates of Gujarat, EWS candidates of Gujarat, Gujarat ex-servicemen, and PwD candidates: No fee.
• Reserved category candidates from other states must pay the prescribed fee.
• Consent deposit, if asked by GPSC: Rs. 500 for General category and Rs. 400 for reserved categories, women candidates of all categories, PwD candidates, and ex-servicemen.

Selection Process

The selection process has a Preliminary Test, application scrutiny, and interview. The final score gives 50% weightage to the preliminary test and 50% weightage to the interview.

1. Preliminary Test: 300 questions for 300 marks in 180 minutes. General Studies has 100 questions for 100 marks, and the concerned subject has 200 questions for 200 marks.
2. Minimum marks condition: If you score less than 15% in the preliminary test, you will not be considered for interview.
3. Application Scrutiny: GPSC will check documents after the preliminary test result.
4. Interview: For 9 posts, candidates will be called as per GPSC norms. The interview carries 100 marks.
5. Final Merit: Preliminary test marks are converted to 50 marks, interview marks are converted to 50 marks, and the total is calculated out of 100 marks.

The tentative preliminary test dates are split by paper: General Studies is listed for 26 July 2026, while the concerned subject paper is listed for 04 October 2026. GPSC will publish syllabus details on its official website and app.

1. Go to the GPSC OJAS portal at gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Complete One Time Registration if you have not done it earlier.
3. Select Advertisement No. 36/2026-27 for ICT Officer, Class-II.
4. Fill in the online application form and check every detail before confirmation.
5. Upload documents when GPSC asks after the preliminary test result.
6. Pay the fee online if it applies to your category.
7. Submit the application before 19 June 2026 at 23:59.

Do not send physical documents to GPSC now. The notice says only candidates found eligible for application scrutiny after the preliminary result should upload documents online on the GPSC-IASS portal when asked.
