GBPUAT, established in 1960 as India's first agricultural university, has released a notification for 2 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) posts in the Department of Vegetable Science. These positions are attached to the project "Pilot Initiative for Establishing a Resilient Hi-Tech Potato Seed Supply Chain in Uttarakhand" (Project Code 4027), led by Principal Investigator Dr. Dhirendra Singh. The fellowship is currently open to General and OBC category candidates, and the project itself runs up to March 2029. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an M.Sc. in Horticulture, Vegetable Science, or Agricultural Economics.
• Alternate route: A 4-year Bachelor's degree, or a 3-year Bachelor's degree along with NET plus M.Sc., is also accepted for this fellowship amount.
• Experience: You must have at least one year of experience in conducting field experiments.
• Category: This round is for General and OBC candidates. If reserved-category candidates are not available, general or other category candidates may be considered instead.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a fellowship of Rs. 42,000 per month, paid as a consolidated amount.
• The appointment will initially be given for six months, which may be extended based on project requirements and your performance, for up to the project duration ending March 2029.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the following stage:

1. Interview: Eligible candidates will be interviewed at the Department of Vegetable Science, GBPUAT, Pantnagar, on 14 July 2026. No separate interview call letter will be issued, and no TA/DA (travel allowance) will be paid for attending.

You must bring attested copies of all your certificates, degrees, and testimonials, along with the original documents for verification on the day of the interview.
