Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun Project Associate Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
FRI Dehradun, working under the Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education (ICFRE), has issued Advertisement No. 5-1/RCS/2026 for 1 Project Associate post in the Genetics and Tree Improvement division. The project, led by Dr. Ashok Kumar and funded by IFFCO, works on genetic improvement of neem (Azadirachta indica) to develop dwarf genotypes and neem products with enriched active constituents. This is a walk-in interview — there is no online application process, and the position is purely temporary for an initial duration of 1 year or until the project ends, whichever is earlier.

Salary
- You will get a fixed fellowship of Rs. 25,000 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
- Document Verification: Bring your bio-data, a recent passport-size photograph, and self-attested copies of all educational and experience certificates for submission at the Group Coordinator (Research) office.
- Interview: Conducted in the Board Room of the FRI Main Building on the day of the walk-in.
The fellowship does not guarantee subsequent employment in any institute under ICFRE. If you have already completed 4 years as SRF/SPF/JRF/JPF, you will not be considered for this post. Your PhD tenure and teaching experience are not counted as research experience, and the Director, FRI reserves the right to increase, decrease, or not fill the position.
The Genetic Improvement of Azadirachta indica project aims to develop dwarf neem genotypes and neem-based products with enriched active constituents, in partnership with IFFCO. This advertisement is published in both Hindi and English; if there is any difference between the two, the English version will be treated as the standard text.

Responsibilities
