Who Can Apply?

For Senior Residents (3 Years and 1 Year):

  • Qualification: MBBS from an NMC/MCI-recognised institution, plus a Post-Graduation Degree or Diploma (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant speciality
  • Registration: You must be registered with the National Medical Council or Maharashtra Medical Council
  • Note: If PG doctors are not available, MBBS doctors with 2 years of experience (including 1 year in the relevant speciality from a government or private hospital, not a private clinic) may be appointed as Senior Resident for 1 year

For Super Specialist (Medical Oncology):

  • Qualification: MBBS + PG Degree (MD/DNB) + Super Speciality Degree (DM/DNB) in Medical Oncology from an NMC/MCI-recognised institution
  • Experience: 2 years of experience after acquiring the super-speciality degree
  • Registration: Must be registered with NMC or Maharashtra Medical Council

For Specialists (Radiology, Microbiology, ICU):

  • Qualification: MBBS + Post-Graduation Degree or Diploma (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant speciality
  • Experience: PG Degree holders need 3 years of experience after PG; PG Diploma holders need 5 years of experience after diploma
  • ICU Specialist: MD/MS/DNB in Critical Care Medicine preferred. MD in Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine, or Respiratory Medicine with 1 year Fellowship in Critical Care may also be considered
  • Registration: Must be registered with NMC or Maharashtra Medical Council

For Medical Officers (DCBO):

  • Qualification: Recognised MBBS degree as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 plus completion of compulsory rotating internship
  • Registration: Must be registered with NMC or Maharashtra Medical Council
  • Experience: Not essential

Age Limit

  • Senior Residents (3 Year and 1 Year): Maximum 45 years as on the date of advertisement (30 March 2026)
  • Super Specialist and Specialist: Maximum 69 years as on the date of advertisement
  • Medical Officer (DCBO): Maximum 35 years as on the date of advertisement

Salary

  • Senior Residents (3 Year and 1 Year): Pay Level-11, Rs 67,700 per month plus DA, HRA, NPA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules
  • Full Time Specialist: Pay Level-11, Rs 67,700 per month plus DA, HRA, NPA, TA and other allowances
  • Part Time Specialist: Rs 60,000 per month for 16 hours per week, plus Rs 15,000 for emergency visits and Rs 800 per additional hour beyond 16 hours/week
  • Full Time Super Specialist: Rs 2,00,000 per month (consolidated remuneration)
  • Part Time Super Specialist: Rs 1,00,000 per month for 16 hours per week, plus Rs 20,000 for emergency visits and Rs 1,200 per additional hour beyond 16 hours/week
  • Medical Officer (DCBO): Pay Level-10, Rs 56,100 per month plus allowances as admissible

  • Defence Ex-Servicemen / EWS / PwD (Divyaang): No Fee

Selection Process

Selection is through walk-in interview only — there is no written exam:

  1. Document Verification: Your application and documents will be scrutinised by the authorised officers. Only eligible candidates will proceed to the interview. Report one hour before the scheduled interview time
  2. Walk-in Interview: You will appear before the Selection Board. Selection is based on your performance in the interview
  3. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must be medically fit

Note: If the number of applicants is large, the hospital may introduce shortlisting criteria including a screening test at its discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Handle patient consultations, clinical examinations, and treatment in your assigned department or speciality at ESIC Hospital Bibvewadi or designated DCBO
  • Assist in emergency duty, ward rounds, and OPD services as assigned by the Medical Superintendent
  • Work in floor duties and shift rotations including night shifts and weekend duties as per the hospital roster
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, case sheets, discharge summaries, and other clinical documentation
  • Follow all NABH and NABL protocols for patient care, infection control, and quality standards
  • Manage outreach programs, health promotion activities, and prevention programs as directed by the hospital
  • Monitor and report critical cases, handle referrals, and coordinate with other departments for multi-disciplinary care

Minimum Qualification

MBBS with Post-Graduation (MD/MS/DNB) from NMC/MCI recognised institution; MBBS for Medical Officer

Preferred Qualification

DM/MCh/DNB Super Speciality for Super Specialist posts; Fellowship in Critical Care for ICU posts
