ESIC Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Regional Office Himachal Pradesh, has invited applications from retired government engineers for 2 Junior Engineer posts at ESIC Hospital, Kala Amb. The engagement is purely contractual, initially for one year, and can be extended annually based on satisfactory performance until the candidate turns 65. Selection is through interview only — there is no written exam. Retired engineers with a Degree or Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering from recognized institutions should apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Junior Engineer (Civil):

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution
• Eligibility: You must have held the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) or a higher-level post at the time of your retirement
• Retired from: Central or State PWD Department, or Central/State Public Sector Undertaking

For Junior Engineer (Electrical):

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution
• Eligibility: You must have held the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) or a higher-level post at the time of your retirement
• Retired from: Central or State PWD Department, or Central/State Public Sector Undertaking

Retired Government Engineers with experience in building construction and maintenance will be given preference.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 64 years as on 30 April 2026 (the last date for application submission)
• The contract can be extended yearly up to a maximum age of 65 years, subject to satisfactory performance

Salary

• For retired employees from non-pensionable employment (Autonomous Bodies, PSUs, etc.): Consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 33,630
• For retired employees from pensionable Government employment: The pay will be calculated by deducting the pension amount from the last drawn salary
• In addition, you will get TA/DA for official tours at rates applicable to regular Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers in ESIC

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a single stage:

1. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. Intimation will be sent through email.
2. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must produce a Medical Fitness certificate issued by a Government Civil Surgeon before joining.

The interview will be held at the Regional Office, ESI Corporation, Phase-I, Housing Board, Sai Road, Baddi, Distt. Solan, Himachal Pradesh - 173205. The exact date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates by email.
