The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), under the Ministry of Defence, has invited applications to engage medical and para-medical staff on a contractual basis at ECHS Polyclinic Vasco (Goa), through Station HQ (ECHS Cell) INS Gomantak. There are two posts — one Dental Officer and one Pharmacist. The engagement is for 11 months / one year and is renewable based on your performance. Preference will be given to Ex-Servicemen.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Dental Officer: 1 post (60% reservation for Ex-Servicemen)
• Pharmacist: 1 post (70% reservation for Ex-Servicemen)

Who Can Apply?

For Dental Officer (Rs. 95,000/month):

• Qualification: BDS degree.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience.

For Pharmacist (Rs. 36,500/month):

• Qualification: B.Pharmacy or an approved Diploma in Pharmacy from an institute recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India, and registered as a Pharmacist.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience.

Age Limit

• No fixed upper age is given in the notice. The contract runs till you attain the maximum age allowed under ECHS rules.

Salary

• Dental Officer: Fixed remuneration of Rs. 95,000 per month.
• Pharmacist: Fixed remuneration of Rs. 36,500 per month.
• The pay is fixed as per ECHS guidelines.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on an interview by a Board of Officers:

1. Interview: Held at Station HQ INS Gomantak (Conference Room) on 21 July 2026 at 10:00 AM. Report at the INS Gomantak main gate by 9:00 AM.
2. Document Verification: Bring all original certificates, mark sheets, experience proof, Aadhaar, PAN and (for ESM) discharge book, PPO and service records.

No TA/DA is paid. Selected candidates must complete 10 days of unpaid On-Job Training (OJT) before joining.

• Provide dental care (Dental Officer) or dispense medicines (Pharmacist) to ex-servicemen and their dependents at the ECHS Polyclinic.
• Examine patients, plan treatment and maintain proper clinical records.
• Manage the stock of medicines and dental supplies and check expiry dates.
• Guide patients on medication use, dosage and follow-up care.
• Follow ECHS rules, hygiene standards and Standard Treatment Guidelines.
• Support the polyclinic team during OPD and emergencies.
