Dhule Municipal Corporation (DMC), Maharashtra has released a notice to fill 1 Sanitation Inspector post in the Health Department on a 6-month contract basis through a walk-in interview process. The post is reserved for the Open category. Selection is based on academic marks, experience, and an interview — there is no written exam. Candidates with prior experience as a Sanitation Inspector will be given preference.

Who Can Apply?

• Education: You must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th class) examination.
• Mandatory Course: You must have completed the Sanitation Inspector course from the All India Institute of Local Self-Government.
• Preferred: Candidates holding a degree from a government-recognised university will be given preference.
• Experience: Prior work experience as a Sanitation Inspector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Domicile: You must produce a Maharashtra domicile certificate at the time of document verification.

Age Limit

• Maximum age for Open category candidates: 38 years at the time of appointment.
• Age relaxation will apply as per Maharashtra Government rules for reserved categories, if applicable.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 23,485 per month (minimum wage rate).
• No additional allowances will be paid beyond this consolidated amount.
• The appointment is purely contractual — you will not be treated as a regular employee of the Municipal Corporation or the State Government.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the following steps:

1. Screening of Applications: Applications received within the deadline will be checked for eligibility against the qualification and experience criteria.

3. Walk-in Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before the Municipal-level Selection Committee.

• Plan and supervise the daily work of sweepers, garbage collection staff, and other sanitation workers
• Inspect roads, drains, public toilets, markets, parks, and other public spaces for cleanliness
• Monitor solid waste collection, transportation, and disposal in the city
• Implement Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Swachh Survekshan, and segregation of wet and dry waste
• Handle and resolve public complaints related to sanitation and submit reports to higher officers
• Maintain daily records, attendance, and discipline of sanitation staff
• Carry out emergency sanitation drives during outbreaks of communicable diseases or disasters
