District Court, Gadchiroli Sweeper Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The District Court, Gadchiroli has released a notification for 1 Sweeper post to prepare a selection list of eligible candidates. This is an offline recruitment — you need to send your application by registered post (RPAD) or Speed Post, not online. Preference will be given to candidates with prior cleaning experience in a toilet/bathroom or who have worked in a government office or court before. This is a good opportunity for candidates with basic schooling who are looking for a stable state government job.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed at least 7th standard.
• Physical Fitness: You must be physically fit and capable of performing the duties of the post, supported by a medical fitness certificate from an authorised medical expert submitted along with your application.
• Character: You must not have been arrested or convicted in any criminal case. If you have any pending criminal case or complaint against you, you must disclose it in your application.
• Family Size: Your number of living children born after 28 March 2006 should not exceed 2, as per the state's small family norms.
• Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in cleaning toilets/bathrooms, sweeping work, or prior work in a government office or court.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 38 years old for the Open/General category, as per Maharashtra Government General Administration Department GR No. SRV 2015/Pra.Kr.404/Karya.912 dated 25 October 2016.
• Backward Class candidates: Maximum age limit is extended to 43 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary in Pay Level S-1, Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 47,600 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Maharashtra Government rules.

Selection Process

The Selection Committee, District Court, Gadchiroli, may conduct selection in up to 3 stages:

1. Screening Test (optional): If conducted, this will be a 20-mark test based on cleanliness-related or general knowledge questions.
2. Skill/Efficiency Test: Eligible candidates will undergo a 90-mark practical test evaluating agility and cleaning work.
3. Oral Interview: Candidates who pass the skill test will appear for a 40-mark oral interview.

SC/ST candidates will be given preference. Candidates must attend the test and interview at their own expense. The selection list is valid for only 2 years from the date it is published.

1. Prepare your application on A4 size white paper in the format given in the advertisement (typed or handwritten).
2. Attach self-attested copies of your educational certificates.
3. Attach 2 recent passport-size photographs — sign across one photo pasted on the application, and attach the second photo separately.
4. Attach a self-addressed postcard with a Rs. 5 postage stamp and a self-addressed envelope with your PIN code.
5. Write "Application for Sweeper post" on the envelope.
6. Send your application by Registered Post (RPAD) or Speed Post only to the Manager, District Court, Gadchiroli, so that it reaches by 21 August 2026, 5:00 PM.

Applications received after the deadline, sent by any other means, or without "Application for Sweeper post" marked on the envelope will not be considered. Only one candidate's application should be in each envelope.
