DIHFW Society Ratnagiri Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 — 8 Posts

District Integrated Health and Family Welfare (DIHFW) Society Ratnagiri has released a recruitment notification under the Rashtriya Arogya Abhiyan (NHM) 2026-27. The posts are spread across two schemes — the 15th Finance Commission (15 FC) program at Urban Health and Wellness Centres (UHWC) and the HBT Apala Dawakhana scheme under the Health Department of Zilla Parishad Ratnagiri. These are contractual positions for 11 months and 29 days, renewable based on performance and program requirements.

• Medical Officer MBBS — HBT Apala Dawakhana (HBT): 2 posts — ST: 1, VJA: 1

Note: If MBBS candidates are not available, BAMS candidates may be considered for these posts at a different pay scale.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Primary: MBBS degree from a recognised university or medical institution
• Alternative: BAMS — considered only if MBBS candidates are not available for the post
• Council Registration: Valid registration with the Medical Council is mandatory

Experience

• Experience Required: NIL — freshers with MBBS can apply

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age for Medical Officers (MBBS): 65 years
• NHM Employees: 5 additional years of age relaxation
• Age is calculated as on the application date, as per State Government GR dated 25.04.2016.

Salary

• MBBS Medical Officer: Rs. 60,000 per month (fixed monthly honorarium)
• BAMS (if MBBS not available): Rs. 25,000 per month + performance-based incentive of Rs. 15,000 per month
• These are contractual pay rates under the NHM program — no DA, HRA, or government service benefits apply

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is merit-based — there is no written exam:

1. Merit List: Candidates shortlisted based on academic qualifications and relevant experience
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original documents at the District Health Officer's office
3. Final Selection List: Selection list and waiting list published on the NHM Ratnagiri website

If MBBS doctors are not available, walk-in interviews will be held to fill posts on a part-time or on-call basis with BAMS candidates.

• Provide primary healthcare services to patients at the assigned UHWC or HBT Apala Dawakhana centre
• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients as per NHM program guidelines
• Maintain patient records, daily registers, and health reports as required by the Health Department
• Coordinate with ANMs, staff nurses, and ASHA workers for community health outreach activities
• Report communicable diseases and health emergencies to the District Health Officer promptly
• Participate in NHM programs including immunisation drives, maternal health, and child health initiatives
• Follow all protocols set by the National Health Mission, Maharashtra for quality service delivery
