The Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Medical Officer, Giridih has released Advertisement No. 03/2026/DHS to fill 101 contractual posts under various National Health Mission (NHM) components — including NHM, RBSK, RCH, NPHCE, NMHP, NVBDCP, NBSU, MTC and NUHM programmes — to strengthen healthcare delivery across Giridih district. The engagement is purely on a contract basis, renewed annually based on performance. Staff Nurse (24 posts) and ANM (14 posts) are the largest openings this year, alongside 11 Rehabilitation Worker posts. Who Can Apply?

Nursing & ANM Posts (Staff Nurse, ANM - all schemes)

• You need 10+2 with 3-year GNM training (for Staff Nurse) or a recognized ANM course approved by INC (for ANM posts).
• You must be registered with the Jharkhand Nursing Council.

Lab & Pharmacy Posts

• Lab Technician/Sputum Microscopist: 10+2 with Diploma/Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology, with 1 year experience in NTEP or sputum microscopy preferred.
• Pharmacist posts: Diploma in Pharmacy registered under the Jharkhand State Pharmacy Council.

Programme Management & Technical Posts

• District Programme Coordinator: MBA/PG Diploma in Management or Health Administration with 1 year experience.
• Block Data Manager: Graduation with a computer diploma (BCA/B.Sc Computer Science/DOEACC 'O' or 'A' level) and 2 years' relevant experience.
• Refrigerator Mechanic: Matriculation with ITI in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning plus 3 years' experience.
• MTS: Graduate in Biology stream with a valid two-wheeler driving license.

Counselling, Psychology & Rehabilitation Posts

• Clinical Psychologist: PG Degree in Psychology + M.Phil in Medical/Social Psychology (RCI recognized).
• Psychiatric Social Worker: PG Degree in Psychiatric Social Work (2-year course).
• Rehabilitation Worker: 10+2 + Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Work, RCI registered.
• Nutritional Counsellor: Bachelor's/Master's in Food & Nutrition or Home Science; fluency in local language preferred; female candidates preferred.

Support Staff

• Hospital Attendant / Sanitary Attendant: Matriculation, with hospital work experience preferred.

Preference will be given to local (Giridih district) candidates in the selection process.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 21 years old, with maximum age 35 years for Unreserved category as on the date of advertisement publication.
• Age Relaxation: Backward Classes/Extremely Backward Classes: up to 37 years (47 for PwBD).
• Age Relaxation: Women (Unreserved/EWS/BC/EBC): up to 38 years (48 for PwBD).
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST (Male & Female): up to 40 years (50 for PwBD).
• Age Relaxation: EWS: up to 35 years (45 for PwBD).

Salary

• Salary (honorarium) ranges from Rs. 8,000 per month (Refrigerator Mechanic) to Rs. 43,923 per month (VBD Consultant), depending on the post.
• Staff Nurse (NHM/NBSU): Rs. 14,300/month. ANM (all schemes): Rs. 11,466 to Rs. 11,550/month.
• Lab Technician: Rs. 12,600/month. District Pharmacist: Rs. 15,000/month. Pharmacist (RBSK): Rs. 11,550/month.
• Block Data Manager: Rs. 15,000/month. Senior Treatment Supervisor: Rs. 19,999/month.
• These are fixed contractual honorarium amounts — no separate DA/HRA is mentioned.

Application Fee

• SC / ST candidates: Rs. 200 per post applied for.
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of District (Rural) Health Society, Giridih, enclosed with the application.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected in the following manner:

1. Merit Listing: Based on marks obtained in educational and technical qualifications.
2. Written Test / Skill Test / Interview: One or more of these, as applicable for the post, will also be used for final selection.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates for qualification, age, caste, experience and driving license (where applicable) will be checked.

The final merit list will be published on the notice board of the Civil Surgeon/Deputy Commissioner's office for one week, and information will also be shared through newspapers and giridih.nic.in.

3. Attach self-attested copies of educational qualification, residence, caste, birth/age and driving license certificates (where applicable).

5. Attach the Demand Draft for the application fee, made in favour of the District (Rural) Health Society, Giridih.

• Conduct community outreach, screening camps and health awareness activities as required
• Coordinate with medical officers, ANMs and ASHA workers for smooth delivery of health services
• Manage drug stock, equipment and computer records relevant to your post
• Prepare periodic reports and submit them to the District Health Society, Giridih
• Follow all NHM guidelines, government rules and safety protocols while on duty
