Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital (DDUH), Hari Nagar, New Delhi — a hospital under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of NCT of Delhi — has released notification number F.2S(01)/DDUH/SR/2026/10444-47 for filling up 4 Senior Resident (SR) posts in the Ophthalmology and Orthopedics departments. Who Can Apply?

For Ophthalmology

• Qualification: Post Graduate Degree — MS / MD / DNB / Diploma (or equivalent) in Ophthalmology

For Orthopedics

• Qualification: Post Graduate Degree — MS / DNB in Orthopedics

DMC Registration (Mandatory)

• You must have a valid DMC Registration Certificate of MBBS (Delhi) along with registration of your PG Degree/Diploma with DMC, or you should have applied for receipt of PG Degree/Diploma DMC as on the date of interview.
• If you are appointed with applied-for status, you must submit the valid DMC certificate of PG within 44 days from joining, failing which the candidature will be terminated.

Other Requirements

• OBC certificate must be from Govt. of NCT of Delhi (Non-Creamy Layer)
• EWS certificate must be from Govt. of NCT of Delhi for the current financial year
• If you are currently working on regular basis, you must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your present employer

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of interview (03 June 2026)
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer, Delhi) as per rules

Salary

• Salary as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 11: Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month
• You will also get DA, HRA and other admissible allowances as per Central Government rules

Selection Process

Selection is through walk-in interview only — there is no written exam. Document verification is done on the same day, between 09:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

1. Document Verification: Original certificates and one set of photocopies are checked between 09:30 AM and 11:00 AM in Admin Block, 1st Floor, DDU Hospital
2. Walk-In Interview: Only those who fulfill the eligibility criteria as per the Residency Scheme of the Government of India are allowed to appear
3. Medical Fitness: Final appointment is subject to medical fitness and verification of all certificates

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. If a large number of applications are received, the interview may continue to the next day.

• Provide specialist patient care in the assigned department — Ophthalmology or Orthopedics
• Conduct OPD consultations, ward rounds, and emergency duties as assigned
• Assist consultants during surgeries and clinical procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, and discharge summaries
• Work in shifts including night duty, weekends, and on-call as required
• Guide and supervise junior residents, interns, and nursing staff
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control, and clinical guidelines of GNCT Delhi
