CUHP has released Employment Notification No. 002/2026, dated 25 June 2026, to fill non-teaching positions across Group A, Group B, and Group C categories at its Dharamshala campus in Kangra district. Who Can Apply?

Medical Officer (Female) - Level 10:

• You need an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council.
• You need a minimum of 4 years' experience as a Medical Officer.

Private Secretary - Level 7:

• You need a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, with stenography and typing skills, plus knowledge of computer applications.

Hindi Translator - Level 6:

• You need a Master's degree in Hindi or English, along with a translation diploma/certificate and translation experience.

Lower Division Clerk - Level 2:

• You need a Bachelor's degree plus a typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi, along with computer proficiency.

Multi-Tasking Staff - Level 1:

• You need to be 10th pass from a recognized board, or ITI pass.

Laboratory Attendant - Level 1:

• You need 10+2 with Science stream, or 10th pass with a Science and Laboratory Technology skill certificate.

Reservation benefits for Group C posts apply only to bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh in the SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories.

Age Limit

• Medical Officer: Maximum 40 years.
• Private Secretary / Hindi Translator: Maximum 35 years.
• Multi-Tasking Staff / Lower Division Clerk / Laboratory Attendant: Maximum 32 years.
• Age is calculated as on the last date for submitting the application, i.e. 26 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates get relaxation as per Government of India rules. Central/State Government, university, and autonomous body employees get 5 years relaxation. Departmental Group C candidates get relaxation up to 40 years (General) or 45 years (SC/ST with 3 years' regular service).

Salary

• Pay ranges from Rs. 18,000 per month (Level 1) up to Rs. 1,77,500 per month (Level 10), depending on the post, under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government/university rules.

Application Fee

• UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS: Rs. 1,750 (Rs. 250 processing fee + Rs. 1,500 examination fee)
• SC / ST / PwD / Women (all categories): Rs. 1,500 (examination fee only, no processing fee)
• Fee is paid online and is non-refundable. If you apply for more than one post, you must pay the fee separately for each.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Written Test: Shortlisted candidates may be called for a written test.
2. Skill Test / Trade Test: Applicable for posts requiring typing, stenography, or lab skills.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Written Test/Skill Test/Interview — the university decides the number of candidates called, based on a screening committee's recommendation.
